It's About Time!

I know, I know I keep making promises to keep this updated, but life seems to take over and the blog takes the back burner. So here we go again and I am going to try to make it a priority! So here's a review of the events over the last 6 months:
Rylee had a FANTASTIC birthday! She was spoiled rotten (as usual) and got a new bike, a DS, a two wheel scooter and a bunch of other stuff!We went to the zoo for her birthday, which my mom will attest was an adventure to say the least!
Nate setup a slip n slide for the kids and we had some great September Saturdays for the kids to play!

We went on a drive and walk up the canyon when the leaves changed and had lots of fun taking pictures. Here is Mason in the leaves:

We also went to a Corn maze, we went to Vegas for Halloween and had a great time at there Fair and trick or treating around the neighborhood. We also went to Vegas for Thanksgiving, but I must have been too busy to take any pictures. I do have one of my favorites of my Grandpa Wes holding Mason.
December was a very busy month! We blessed Mason, went to Salt Lake for a weekend to go to the Temple Lights, breakfast with Santa and a play "If you give a Mouse a Cookie". It was so much fun! We also had our annual Family Christmas Party, which is always so much fun! Our theme this year was 'Oh Baby, It's Christmas'. We had fun reminiscing about our childhood Christmas memories. We had the Nativity scene at Grandma and Grandpa Batty's where Rylee played Mary, Drew was the Shepherd and Mason was Baby Jesus. They were adorable. My family spent Christmas Eve night and morning with us. It's so much fun for the kids for Mimi, Papa and Mar Mars to be here. Hopefully next year we will all be well! :) Here are some of December's pictures:

January, February and March were spent doing lots of skiing for Nate and Rylee. Nate's work also had a fun Night Skiing night. We all went up to Beaver Mountain and took turns skiing. I had Lydia come help so we could all get some fun ski time in and Mason could be looked after! Drew did a great job skiing for the first time. I hadn't seen Rylee ski since last season and was shocked at how great she is - she definitely makes me nervous! February we had another fun trip to Vegas. In March, I got to go with my sister-in-law's to Vegas, which was a lot of fun. We saw the beautiful displays at the Bellagio and did lots of shopping. The weather was only ok so we had one morning of sitting by the pool which Brenda missed (sorry Brenda!).

March is Nate and Drew's birthday's and we had a lot of fun celebrating those! For Drew's birthday we went to lunch with his friend Cruz and to the movie, Rango, with Cruz and our friends Charlie and Katie (and baby Owen). On Nate's birthday, we had all of our families over for dinner, cake and ice cream and, of course, presents! Drew got bunk beds and a new room for his birthday. He was so excited to show everyone his new bed. He also got some fun Toy Story shoes, shirt and sunglasses, and a T-ball set.

Here is my sweet Mason getting so big. He is sitting by himself and has started scooting on his butt around the kitchen floor. It's quite entertaining. He is such a momma's boy which I love and hate. He loves to cuddle, but is not a happy camper when I'm in the room and not holding him. But I need to enjoy it because I know it won't last forever!

At the end of March, we got our season passes for skiing next year for me and Drew. I enjoy skiing and will finally not be pregnant or have a brand new baby next year. :) So we got our passes and went skiing on a Saturday morning. We got on our first lift ride up and are about to unload when the lift stops and starts bouncing and swaying we were literally coming off our seats! Remember my entire little family is on the lift! Well the cable broke that takes the lift up, so we had to be evacuated from the lift. I'm pretty sure I was the most traumatized by the whole ordeal. The kids were scared, but haven't thought a thing about it since. Me, on the other hand, I'm not sure I can ride a lift ever again! I'm working on getting through it though.
Well I think I have made up for not posting in 6 months. Thanks for still looking! :)

Baby Mason

Mason was born on Sept. 10th at 9:33 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19" long. He has been such a sweet baby so far. He looks just like Drew did and sometimes I can't help but call him Drew Bear. The kids are loving him and like to hold him. Every day Drew asks what his name is because he can't remember. I am getting used to 3 kids. Obviously, some days are better than others! Nate has been a great help and Drew and Rylee are enjoying their special time with daddy. I ventured out with my mom and we attempted to get the kids pictures taken. It was a very long day, but I think they turned out pretty cute!

VeGaS!

For Memorial Day, we went to Vegas. We had so much fun swimming and playing. We stayed at my parents house and the Country Club had a big party for the opening of the swimming pool. They had hula hoop contests and a DJ and lots of fun stuff for the kids like the bounce house and balloon animals and cotton candy.

Rylee loved playing in the Bounce house. They had some water slides, but her and Drew both hated them so they just stayed in the Bounce house. Rylee was having a great time learning to hula hoop. She got pretty creative and fancy with her arms and leg action!
Drew and Rylee both loved being thrown in the pool. They were having so much fun! They are both quite the little swimmers with their floaties on.

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back!

Hello!

I know it's been forever since I posted and it's almost laughable to post now, but here goes . . . An update of the past 6 months - Rylee has been having a great time with preschool. She just loves Miss Patty! She's doing very well learning the alphabet, numbers and colors. She only has a week left until it's over for the summer. We had a wonderful Christmas, our first Christmas in our new house. My mom, dad and sister came and slept over starting a new tradition. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their toys. Over the winter they enjoyed sledding down the hill next to our house. Rylee got a season pass to Beaver Mountain for next year and went skiing a few times this year and did great! Nate said the biggest problem was she wants to go too fast! I'm just glad I'm not there, she already makes me nervous enough. Drew is growing up fast! He turned 2 in March and loves dump trucks, diggers, dirt and pretty much anything outside. All the construction in our neighborhood makes for some great entertainment! Some other big news is we are having another little boy in September. Rylee and Drew love thinking of baby names - although some of the names are a little out there! The pregnancy has been much harder than the first 2. I haven't been able to do much for the last 2 months. Everything is starting to look better, so hopefully we won't have any more problems. We went to California in April to visit Grandpa Wes and also got to see Aunt Brenda and soon to be Uncle Patrick! The kids loved seeing the animals and swimming in the pool. Drew got very daring during the trip and was able to swim by himself with his arm floaties on. I have some great pictures of him jumping in mid air. Rylee just had her tonsils out, she is recovering really well. Hopefully we'll have less sickness at our house now! Nate is working hard to get our yard done. It is trenched and ready for sprinklers, if only it would quit raining long enough for him to put them in! The kids are excited for grass! Although I'm not sure where Drew will do his digging! That is our update to now, hopefully I can do better at keeping up! Here are a few fun pictures from our adventures!

Happy Birthday - Part 2!

For the second part of Rylee's birthday, we had all of our family over to celebrate. It was a lot of fun. We had Chili for dinner and then started opening presents! Here is Mimi and Drew anxiously awaiting our guests!

Here we are opening presents. Rylee had so much fun opening presents. She was trying to find everyone to thank them, but there were too many people for her to find. She would scan the room trying to find where the person was hiding - it was quite entertaining.

She got a new Barbie, a princess scooter and helmet, toy blow dryer and straightener, chalkboard, play-do and lots more! She is definitely a spoiled little princess.

My mom's neighbor makes prom dresses and made Rylee these gorgeous dress-ups. She got a Cinderella gown and a pink princess gown. She also got a Belle gown, but that will be seen at Halloween. All of them have matching shoes and accessories. We might start to have fights about shoes. She wants to wear the white sparkly shoes - EVERYWHERE! But that's not even the worst part, she wants to wear them with SOCKS!! AHHHH! She may get to wear them somewhere one day, but her feet are going to have to grow a little more. She got this cute beauty set that had some pretend lipstick in it. Drew thought that was pretty neat and decided Papa needed some!

Nate will probably kill me for this one, but oh well! Drew also really liked Rylee's new shoes! He kept putting them on and doing a little dance! I thought it was hysterical!

I have to admit that I like to get the kids a store bought cake, maybe it's because of the pretty decorations or maybe because I am lazy. Either way, Nate wanted a home made cake this year, so I decided to try it. I found a darling princess crown cake pan and Rylee and I made her cake. She wanted a pink cake, so we got to put food coloring in (her favorite!) and decorate the top. I am actually very proud! My mom actually decorated the outside, but I gave direction :)! I LOVE her cake and will probably start a new tradition of always making the cake!
Rylee was so excited to sing 'Happy Birthday' she had been singing it to herself all morning "Happy Birthday to Me"! It was so cute. Well, when we brought the cake out, she was so excited that she just sang 'Happy Birthday' to herself and blew the candles out! This is actually the second round of blowing out candles because I couldn't take the picture fast enough the first time around!

After everyone left, Rylee got a little sad and said she wants everyone to come back to her house. I think she had a great birthday! I am so lucky to have such a sweet girl. She makes me laugh everyday! She loves her brother so much and is such a good big sister. We love you Rylee!

Happy Birthday - Part 1!

Rylee is 3! I can't believe it! It seems like just yesterday we had this cute little punkin!
Now she is so grown up! We had a really fun birthday celebration! We went to the Cache Valley Fun Park to go roller skating. Rylee has been saying for months that she wants skates for her birthday. So we got her some darling princess skates and went to try them out. My mom and sister came and so did our friends Katie, Will and Charlie. She was so excited when she opened the skates but she kept blocking her face in every picture I took! But you can see the excitement when she is going out to skate with Nate.

Aunt Brenda sent her this darling Strawberry Shortcake doll. She just loves to do her hair and put 'makeup' on her!

Drew was tired of waiting for Rylee to finish opening her presents, so he just started digging in to the pizza. Hungry boy!

Drew watching his big sister! He had fun running around the rink in his socks. I also pushed him around the rink in the stroller which he enjoyed. If you go to the Fun Park during the day - there is nobody there! We were the only ones skating the entire time. Which was nice since we all needed lots of space!

Drew loved riding the rides and trying to play the games. We won tickets and traded them in for some candy and horns!


We traded our tickets in and got some candy and horns. My sister got these funky glasses that my mom is modeling.

We had a fun day skating! Then we went home for our big birthday party with the family! Those pictures will be coming soon! Happy Birthday Rylee!
